Leather Motorcycle Saddlebags

Posted under Leather Saddle Bags by Alex on Monday 5 October 2009 at 8:58 pm

leather saddlebagsOne of the first ways most bikers pimp their new bike is to buy a set of saddlebags. The cool part about this retrofit is the fact that the add on comes out of functionality more than style, but with the variety of saddlebags on the market, style is not a hard choice.

Saddlebags are a necessity for stowing articles a biker determines they will need for a trip of any length. Sometimes the size is determined by the amount of extra stuff that will be taken, which usually is multiplied when there is a rider.

motorcycle saddlebags saddlebags made from hand dyed heavy weight vegetable tanned cowhide. Brown only. Dimensions: 14 1/2" x 9 1/2" x 5 1/2".

Before rushing out and buying a set of saddlebags, the bike owner should take measurements so there is no interference with pipes, seats, springs, etc. Another factor to be consider is if the owner prefers bracketed bags or throw overs.

Consideration of  the length of trips to be taken as well. No biker wants to be caught too far from home with too little room because they have too small saddlebags.

One thing I considered when I bought my bags for Apache Rose was the fact that I’d be back and forth to work, The mornings could be chilly and the afternoons hot, so I needed room enough to store my leather chaps , jackets, gloves, and whatever else.

Bikerleather123.com carries a wide variety of real saddlebags, not that pvc crap, and is very helpful in with measuring and finding the perfect saddlebags. As a matter of fact, they can get saddlebags custom made.

Why not give them a shout while looking for that perfect set of bags?

Milwaukee Biker Boots

Posted under Leather Biker Boots, Product Review by Alex on Tuesday 11 August 2009 at 5:20 pm

I’ve never had anything on me feet quite as nice as my new Milwaukee , the Trooper. These boots are first pair of boots I’ve owned just for the sake of my , that I feel like I can really trust and to tell you the truth, I have a hard time taking them off after I get them on. They’re like foot candy.

I’ve owned expensive work boots and found some to be really comfortable after the break in period, but never have I owned a boot that has served me as well as my Troopers. It only get’s better from here, as I only paid half as much for the 8″ upper style boot than I have in the past for comparable boots.leather motorcycle boots The , especially the upper, is supportive of my ankles in ways that are very important when . As for the inner sole, so far it has been a dream the way it holds my fallen arches in an almost suspended state. The outer soles are slip proof, mark proof, and oil resistant. The two heavy duty zippers, that compliment the laces,  help keep the laces at the right tension so there are no minutes of fiddling with them to make room for the foot and then another few minutes re-tightening them.

A rider’s footwear is actually a very important piece of equipment because he or she must be able to hold a bike, that weighs hundreds of pounds, upright without slipping or wavering. The boot should also be comfortable for hours at a time, and for my money, there is no better boot on the market than the biker boot made by Milwaukee.
